I was born and raised in small town Iowa and I’m very proud of it! During High School I could never really decide what I wanted to do for a career because there were (and still is) so many things I love to do! I toured Iowa Western Community College one day and found the radio program to be quite interesting… so I decided to give it a shot and I liked it! After going full time for two fun filled years, I graduated with a degree in radio broadcasting in 2004. Shortly after college I started working a very odd job and after about a year I decided it was time to finally get a job in radio. After some “networking” I landed a job at KSOM/KS95. I started out just working the weekend air shifts and some board ops here and there in October 2005. In June of 2006 I was offered a full time position as the Assistant New Director… obviously I was more than happy to take the position. I never thought I would be doing the news… but it’s a great experience and I have learned a lot! My husband Josh and I got married in September of 2006. He’s one of the greatest guys you will ever meet! We have a beautiful daughter, Avri. Everything she does amazes me and I can’t wait to teach her everything I know! We also have two dogs (pugs) named Lexy and Kano and we have a furry black cat named Skeeter!
